Eniac

Personal tool · finished

In short

Eniac is a tool I built that runs on my own computer. I describe a change in plain language, a chain of AI agents plans it and writes it, and nothing moves forward until I approve it. Every code change reaches me as a plain git diff.

The problem

AI tools can change a lot of code quickly. I wanted AI's speed without giving up control: each stage explained, approved by me, and every change visible before it is kept.

My role

I designed and built it, alone.

What I built

  1. A chain of agents: a Supervisor that scopes the request, domain Masterminds (Frontend, Backend, DevOps, Architect) that investigate the real codebase and write the requirements and a task list, and fourteen specialised Assistants (design, implementation, review, test and others) that do the work.
  2. An approval gate at every stage: context, requirements, task list, and each assistant's result.
  3. Review as a plain git diff: approve it, or reject it with feedback for another run.
  4. A saved description of each project (architecture, layout, conventions) that every agent reads first, so it does not rediscover the codebase every time.
  5. Hand-offs through readable files that I can edit between stages, not through hidden memory.
  6. A web interface to drive all of it, running locally.

How it is built

A Python FastAPI backend and a React with Vite frontend, both running on my machine. The agents are written as prompt files in the repository.State is kept in a local SQLite database and plain files. It drives the Claude command-line tool on my own subscription rather than paid model APIs.Nothing runs in the cloud.

A hard decision, and what I left out

Version 1 has no autonomous mode. The design allows one, but I chose a tool that stops and asks at every stage, because the point was control, not speed. I also left out multi-user use, cross-machine sync and other model tools.

Result

A finished tool, built in 2026.

What I have built

  • Founders & partners

    Shopest

A multi-tenant e-commerce web application platform: many separate online stores on one system. I built the entire frontend and designed the UI/UX.

  • Own product

    Vidilaptopi

A web app that gathers laptop data from different Macedonian online shops, processes it into one catalog, and lets you compare prices and specs. I built the web app, with help from a friend on the design and part of the code.

  • Bachelor's thesis

    Nexus Platform

A modular, multi-tenant ERP made of Java 21 microservices: my worked example of architecture and infrastructure, and a project I spent a long time on. I designed and built it end to end.

About me

I'm Slavcho Mickovski, a software engineer based in North Macedonia. I have a Bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering, majoring in Software Engineering and Information Systems, from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI) at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.

I build web applications, and I design the architecture and infrastructure behind them. On this site you can see four of my projects: an e-commerce platform, a laptop price comparison, an ERP built from Java 21 microservices, and a tool for working with AI agents.

I build the work myself and I answer my email myself.
